Leading provider of cutting-edge solutions in the vehicle lighting solutions sector is currently seeking a skilled electrical biased Field based Service Engineer to join our clients dedicated team.

As a Field based Service Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and success to all customers. Your duties will be visiting customers across the UK focusing on electro-mechanical fault finding, troubleshoot and fix product issues at customer locations across the UK.

This will be working outside including roadside repairs of HGV Trailers lighting units, looms etc.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical / technical knowledge, excellent communication skills

It is essential requirement that candidates are happy to travel across the UK, typically covering a territory from the Midlands up to Scotland. There will be occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-the-road service visits to client sites for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical lighting equipment typically on commercial HGV vehicle trailers.
  • Perform electro-mechanical fault finding, identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, issues, and resolutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers by offering exceptional service and support.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to provide the best solutions to our clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience in electrical fault finding and repair.
  • Proven experience in on-the-road service and client interaction.
  • Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid full UK driver's license and willingness to travel across the UK and Scotland.
