HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Technician to join our client's team in the packaging industry.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that all internal system processes are completed in a timely manner in line with the agreed schedules and targets set out by the Partnership Quality and Compliance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigating and responding to customer complaints
  • Carrying out CAPA and route cause analysis as necessary
  • Raising and investigating internal non-conformances
  • Interdepartmental meetings/communication to ensure continuous improvement and effective process control
  • Monthly Quality report
  • Overseeing the day to day activity of the quality assurance technician
  • Participating in and preparing for all external audits (customer and BRC etc)
  • Assisting with internal audit programme
  • Hygiene inspections
  • Training as required with the Partnership QA manager and the Head of training and standards
  • Overseeing the day to day activity of the QC department to ensure priorities are met
  • CofC completion

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or similar technical role
  • Understanding of quality systems and standards (e.g. BRC, RSPO, GMP)
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, flexible and reliable team member
  • Must enjoy working outside of the office in a busy environment

Desirable experience

  • Level 3 HACCP
  • Level 2 Food safety
  • BRCGS or equivalent audit experience
  • Co Packer or food manufacturer experience
