Job Title: Senior Process Technician (Injection Moulding)

Location: Tilbury, Essex

Salary: From £36k (Dependant on Experience)

HRGO Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Process Technician on behalf of our client who is a well-established manufacturing business. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced injection moulding technician who can support a fast-paced operation, drive continuous improvement, and help develop others in the team.

What is required of you?

  • Always comply with Health & Safety requirements and proactively encourage safe working practices across the team.
  • Maintain PPM schedules and work procedures, contributing to continuous improvement activities.
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment as required.
  • Use SAP (or similar ERP) to maintain machine work history, record spare parts usage, and support PPM planning.
  • Work with the team and management to organise reactive, proactive and PPM schedules to minimise disruption to operations.
  • Manage and monitor the execution of the production schedule.
  • Complete production changeovers and follow start-up procedures to ensure smooth running.
  • Inspect finished products visually and/or using camera systems, completing quality checks as required.
  • Support day-to-day running of injection moulding production and associated machinery.
  • Close out all department PMTOs, including accurate completion within SAP.
  • Prepare process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Review and assess new and existing processes/workflows, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Analyse process/production data to identify issues, upgrades, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assess compliance with safety and quality standards, reporting findings and proposals to management.
  • Support training, coaching and development across the team.
  • Lead the induction and training of new starters, ensuring completion of the "Top 20" and ongoing progression.
  • Maintain training records, identify training needs, and organise/carry out training where required.

Experience & Background

  • Advanced experience working with injection moulding machines is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using SAP is advantageous.

Technical Skills

  • PC literate with basic Microsoft skills (essential).
