HRGO are excited to be supporting our client based in the Dover area, they are looking for a Senior Customs Clerk to join their team.

Salary: Negotiable - Dependent on experience
Hours of work: The business operates 24/7 so shifts will vary but they are planned in advance.

Duties include:

• Supervising a shift team in the absence of the shift supervisor
• Ensuring all tasks assigned to the shift team are completed in a compliant manner
• Completing the day to day customs clearance work
• Assisting the customs clerks with completion of customs paperwork as required
• Completing amendments and correspondence to customs
• Completion of excise declarations
• Assisting with other operational duties within the office at Managers discretion

Skills required:

• Full knowledge of customs procedures and principles
• Good understanding of Excel spreadsheets
• Proficient with customs clearance software
• IT Literate
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Be conscientious and have attention to details
• Be able to be part of a team
• Must be able to identify and report problems
• Communicate politely and efficiently with clients and internal staff
