We are recruiting a Residential Clinical Psychologist to work with our client based in Orpington.

Role Overview:

As a Residential Clinical Practitioner and Residential Clinical Psychologist in the social care sector you will provide effective psychological and psychotherapeutic support within our clients Residential and Education services for children on a part time basis working 2 days per week.

You will play a key role in implementing Trauma Informed Care and ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services that cater to the complex needs of young individuals.

The role is paying circa. £50,000 per annum so pro rata the actual salary for working 2 days per week will be c.£20,000 working on a Monday and Tuesday 9am-5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychological and psychotherapeutic interventions in accordance with service level agreements, including training, assessments, and interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely recording of all case information and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Conduct quarterly clinical assessments and develop integrative therapeutic support plans.
  • Provide weekly therapy sessions using a tri-phasic model for complex trauma.
  • Offer consultancy and specialized training to staff on therapeutic approaches.
  • Lead clinical reflection groups and manage risk through effective therapeutic practice.

Who We're Looking For:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Substantial experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic support within children's services, particularly in relation to trauma and attachment.
  • Experience as a Residential Clinical Psychologist
  • Proven ability to assess complex needs and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Experience providing consultation and support for families and other professionals.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Higher degree (e.g., Doctorate) in Psychology or qualification meeting UKCP registration criteria.
  • Knowledge of systemic interventions, child development, and best practices in addressing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present and evaluate service quality effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure check and satisfactory employment references.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid driving license.
