Quantity Surveyor

Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 PA (DOE)

Location: North West London Office or the Hertfordshire location + Hybrid (Fridays Remote)

  • Ideally candidates need to be based within a reasonable distance of the North West London and Hertfordshire area.

Our client, a leading façade specialist, is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual elements of façade projects. The role covers cost planning, budget management, tender support, subcontractor procurement, valuations, risk assessment and commercial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project cost plans, budgets, cash flow, BOQs and monthly reports.
  • Review drawings and specifications, identifying risks, opportunities and variations.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement including enquiries, evaluation and negotiation.
  • Manage cost control, variations, commercial risks and final accounts.
  • Conduct site visits for measurement, progress checks and commercial support.
  • Liaise with design, site teams, clients and principal contractors.
  • Maintain clear records of measurements and commercial documentation.

Requirements:

  • Degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Experience in QS or estimating within a subcontractor environment.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, contracts (JCT/NEC) and specifications.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and take‑off skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of façade systems (cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen).
  • Experience with subcontractor packages or procurement.
  • Full UK driving licence.
