Large established subcontract precision engineering firm looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer to join this skilled team. Key Skills Required:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Proven track record of investigating non-conformance, executing root cause analysis, and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a high-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 processes; experience in Quality Management System (QMS) oversight is advantageous.
  • Background in supplier management and auditing is beneficial.
  • Experience in product inspection is a plus.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Provide quality feedback and drive improvements in collaboration with production teams.
  • Work alongside customers to address quality issues and facilitate the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans and quality documentation, such as PSW and Control Plans.
  • Conduct product audits to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Manage product traceability and oversee the calibration of measuring equipment.
  • Deliver quality training to staff and assist in implementing 5S workplace organisation principles.
