Job Title: QHSE Coordinator
Location: Dalkeith
Salary: £35,000 Per Annum
Hours: Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm)

About:

We are recruiting for a QHSE Coordinator on behalf of our client who is a Manufacturing company with presence across the UK.

This position is critical to their Quality, Health and Safety & Environment goals, and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has worked in a QHSE Coordinator role within Manufacturing previously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charge for continual improvement in Health and Safety and Environmental performance.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO45001 and ISO14001 accreditations.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and maintain oversight of all required actions.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, driving meaningful changes to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Chair monthly Health and Safety reviews and manage action plans.
  • Conduct regular fire drills and maintain fire safety and chemical usage protocols at the site.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for environmental monitoring.
  • Provide guidance on personal protective equipment and Health & Safety training.
  • Share your expertise in general Quality Assurance tasks to support the QHSE group.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to engage with a variety of stakeholders from internal teams to external agencies.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a positive, helpful attitude towards work.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • IOSH or NEBOSH General Certificate is desirable.
  • Experience in coordinating health and safety activities in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and Food Safety standards is an advantage due to the products our client manufactures.
  • Internal Auditor Training is desirable.
