Production Welders - 4-Day Week, Long Weekends Every Week

Location: Eye, Suffolk (own transport recommended due to rural location)

Hours: 4-day week | Monday-Thursday | 38 hours | 7:00am-5:00pm

Pay:

    • MIG: £15.50 - £16.00 per hour (DOE)
    • TIG: £17.00 - £17.50 per hour (DOE)
    • Overtime: Time and a Third

The Role

We are recruiting a MIG Production Welder and also a TIG Production Welder to join a busy manufacturing team producing high-quality welded components (including parts for medical equipment). This is a production focused position, for experienced MIG and TIG welders who can work accurately to drawings and maintain consistent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

    • Welding of components to required tolerances and standards
    • Using jigs/fixtures where required (production welding)
    • Working from CAD drawings, technical specifications and work instructions
    • Producing high-quality, precision components in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic visual inspection of welds, reporting defects and supporting rework as required
    • Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workstation
    • Working to production targets while maintaining quality

Requirements

    • MIG Welder (essential for MIG - focused candidates): Minimum 1 year's MIG welding experience in a production environment; experience using jigs/fixtures

    • TIG Welder (essential for TIG - focused candidates): Strong TIG welding experience, including welding down to 1mm

    • Ability to read and work from CAD drawings (essential)
    • Reliable, detail-focused, team-oriented approach
