JOB TITLE: Production Team Leader LOCATION: Coleford, HOURS OF WORK 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (12 Hour Shifts) SALARY: From £44k (Dependant on Experience)
About The Role HRGO's Client, a leading manufacturer in Coleford, is currently seeking to recruit a Production Team Leader. As Production Team Leader, reporting directly to the Production Manager, you'll take day-to-day ownership of people, product and process across your shift. This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing shop-floor presence with clear communication and problem-solving.
Key Tasks & Activities
Maintaining a safe working environment in a busy manufacturing environment
Lead and motivate a production team to deliver daily output, quality and service target
Day-to-day management of the team across the shift, including people, product and process management.
Keeping daily operations running smoothly by providing support, direction and assistance to the team across all areas.
Daily interaction with the customer - able to communicate clearly, with strong product knowledge to support effective resolution.
Ensure team is well trained and able to work across a variety of machines to ensure efficiency.
Who we are looking for…
Background and Experience
Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
Broad production experience across different areas of manufacturing/production.
Knowledge of an automation system is advantageous. Experience of production and supply processes.
Demonstrate the potential to lead, engage, train and develop direct reports.
Technical Skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong time management skills.
Proven leadership skills
Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, including Health & Safety.
Interpersonal Skills
Flexibility and reliability are essential.
Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent organisational skills and job prioritisation.
Experience providing support to a team.
Effective communicator at all levels.
Effective trouble-shooter.
