Job Title: Production Operative

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

Location: Speke

Salary: £16.25p/h

We are recruiting a Production Operative to join a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role focused on batch production and quality-driven manufacturing processes. If you have proven batch production experience and previous manufacturing experience, we want to hear from you! Please note, this role involves heavy lifting.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor batch production processes to produce materials to specification
  • Weigh, measure and accurately mix raw materials and formulations according to batch sheets
  • Prepare, load and unload ovens and curing equipment; assist with spray/powder application lines where required
  • Carry out pre-treatment tasks (masking, degreasing, blasting) and basic surface preparation as needed
  • Perform quality checks and inspections, record batch data and maintain production paperwork
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all health & safety, COSHH and PPE procedures
  • Report equipment faults and assist with routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Heavy lifting of materials (25kg and above).

Essential skills and experience

  • Batch production experience - ability to follow batch sheets and maintain accurate production records
  • Previous manufacturing experience is essential
  • Practical experience in powder coating and/or paint production or application processes
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to consistent quality
  • Comfortable working in a physically active role (lifting, standing for long periods)
  • Basic numeracy and the ability to follow technical instructions and formulations
  • Flexible approach to shift patterns and overtime when required
  • Ability to lift heavy items
