We are working with a highly respected manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead their timber production team, improve operational performance, and maintain the exceptional quality standards their customers expect.

This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional who understands the importance of quality craftsmanship, efficient production processes, and developing skilled teams.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage the day to day production operation
  • Oversee production planning, workflow, and delivery targets
  • Ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Manage production resources, budgets, purchasing, and operational performance
  • Develop, coach, and support a skilled manufacturing team
  • Implement and maintain effective quality, health & safety, and compliance procedures
  • Work closely with other departments to support business growth
  • Oversee machinery maintenance and ensure production facilities remain effective and safe

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience managing a production/manufacturing environment
  • A background in timber, woodworking, joinery or furniture is essential
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes from raw materials to finished goods
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to balance quality, efficiency, cost control, and delivery requirements
