Location: Thanet, Kent
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: 3:00pm - Midnight
Salary: DOE + Shift Allowance

An innovative, high‑performing industrial operation in Thanet is looking for a Process & Maintenance Engineer to play a pivotal role in keeping production moving efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

This isn't just maintenance for maintenance's sake. You'll be hands‑on with production‑critical equipment, driving continuous improvement, reducing downtime, and ensuring plant performance meets demanding operational targets.

⚡ What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintaining production and plant equipment to agreed performance and safety standards
  • Delivering planned and preventative maintenance programmes on time and within budget
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times
  • Rapid fault diagnosis and repair to support ongoing production demands
  • Reviewing and improving equipment performance and production processes
  • Monitoring plant performance against KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting hygiene operations with machine dismantling and reassembly when required

🛠️ What We're Looking For

  • HNC / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical‑biased engineering discipline, or a completed engineering apprenticeship
  • 17th or 18th Edition qualified
  • Strong working knowledge of PLC systems, plus mechanical and pneumatic systems
  • Solid experience working with electrical control and drive circuits
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation, including:
    HASAWA, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, WAHR, and the Electricity at Work Act
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and confident working in a fast‑paced industrial environment
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
