Position: Print Production Operative
Hours: This will be on the 24/7 shift rota pattern on rotational basis (Two weeks of days then Two weeks of nights and rotate)
Salary: £9.04 per hour - £10.46 inc shift allowance. Overtime Rate £13.79 per hour
Due to growth and expansion our client is looking for a number of Print Production Operative to work within a busy print production environment, the ideal candidate will have some experience within a similar role but full training will be provided for permanent starts from January 2022.
To convert large, printed rolls of materials into the finished customer specified format, utilising our in house finishing equipment.
The conversion process is linked to the printing process, with the two ultimately working in tandem as a "cell". The conversion process is also a crucial second stage quality gate, and as such a keen eye for detail is essential.
Operate within Company safety policy at all times.
Knowledge and ability to utilise all inspection machinery to achieve highest possible quality with maximum output and minimum waste.
Maintain a tidy work area at all times.
Key Performance Indicators: Conformance to Plan, Quality (frequency and scale) and Waste
Skills, Qualification & Attributes:
Knowledge of procedures for inspection rewind
The ability to fault find and problem solve
Display an excellent eye for detail
Some mechanical skills, basic routine maintenance (including weekly safety and maintenance checks on all equipment)
Previous experience within a busy manufacturing or warehouse environment
Able to operate effectively and maintain standards whilst working to tight production schedules
Strong attention to detail - able to stay focused and flag any issues calmly and clearly
Understands customer needs - high focus on quality and order deadlines
Willingness to work overtime as and when business requirements demand
