HRGO Education are looking for a Caretaker/Site Manager to start work at a Primary School in Maldon, Essex, starting ASAP. This role will see you working from 7:30 am to 4:15 pm from Monday to Friday, and ideally closing the site at 6:00/6:30 (taking around 10 to 15 minutes). This role will include various DIY tasks and all equipment needed will be provided by the school.

This job requires an extremely responsible individual to work during term times. This is role will either be a 12-week contract then a permanent contract, or for the right candidate, permanent straight away.

This role requires the candidate to have a driving license and access to a car.

Your job role will include:

• Removal of rubbish from bins, both in the external and internal of the grounds
• Cleaning communal areas
• General cleaning and litter picking inside of the grounds
• Maintain door locks and ensure security of doors and gates of the school
• Carrying out minor repairs when and if needed
• Ensuring objects around the school are safe for children to be around

It may be an advantage to have professional qualifications or training in areas such as child safety.

You will need to demonstrate a good standard of general maintenance, and you will need Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

Pay & Working Hours

• Caretaker/Site Manager roles tend to pay between £9.50 and £11.50 per hour. Income figures are intended as a guide only.
• Starting at the school day at 7.30am and finishing at 4:15pm.
• All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but it may become permanent later upon school discretion.
