Contract: Temp-to-Perm
We are seeking an experienced Powder Coating Technician to join a busy production team.
This is a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with hours 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Possibility of early and late shift being introduced, so ideally flexibility is required.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare components for finishing: cleaning, degreasing, masking and hanging parts.
Operate powder spray booth and curing ovens safely and efficiently.
Apply powder coatings to meet specified finish, colour and thickness standards.
Carry out routine quality checks and final inspections; correct defects or report issues.
Maintain a clean, organised work area and perform basic routine maintenance of equipment.
Follow health & safety procedures, COSHH and environmental controls for coating operations.
Record production data and complete required paperwork.
Skills and experience required:
Proven experience as a powder coater or in a similar finishing role.
Strong understanding of powder coating process, spray techniques and oven curing.
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality finishes.
Ability to work standing for prolonged periods and handle parts of varying size and weight.
Reliable, punctual and able to work within a team environment.
Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
