Plant Engineer

Starting rate: £13.46 per hour (£28k salary), overtime rate
Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm - 40hours per week.
A Plant Engineer is required by this highly respected leader in the rental market for excavation support systems and specialised products, to maintain, service, repair and modify the plant and equipment as directed by management, ensuring the high standard are met consistently.
This company typically supplies the water, civil engineering, and construction industries.
Duties include:
- Maintenance, service, repair and modification of plant equipment in the depot ensuring completion of service reports is done along with breakdown reports completed in a timely manner.
- Diagnose faults accurately and timely, and identify correct solutions to rectify, ensuring all internal documents i.e. service reports and logs are completed to a high standard.
- Ensure product quality to increase customer satisfaction.
- Ensure equipment is presented in a clean condition with undamaged branding.
- When required clean equipment prior to despatch.
- Involvement in 6 monthly stock takes if required.
Skills, experience required:
- Mechanical, engineering background.
- Basic mechanical and hydraulic knowledge is required.
- Knowledge of the construction industry/plant including hydraulics.
- Electrical knowledge beneficial.
- Forklift licence or experience beneficial.
