£11.00 per hour

Various shifts - 5 days out of 7, might include weekends.

As a Passenger Service Agent, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the airport operation and will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for all passengers between the terminal and the aircraft. We are looking for customer focused individuals with excellent customer service skills. As a Passenger Service Agent, you will be responsible for providing a professional check-in service, Being the face of the company and always showcasing a high level of customer service. You'll be required to work on the check-in &ticket desks, as well as working on the boarding gates and processing the passengers before they depart. You will also be required to help & assist the use of self-service bag drops for passengers.

Duties Include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to the passengers
  • Effectively assisting passengers with their experience travelling through the airport
  • Dealing with customer issues, complaint & queries
  • Helping with communication between airlines and their passengers
  • Checking passenger documentation to make sure they are valid & allowed to travel
  • Issuing boarding cards and baggage labels
  • Processing passengers at the boarding gate
  • Applying airline regulations which may involve charging excess baggage or up selling
  • Adhere and apply strict security and safety regulations
  • Effectively assisting passengers with their experience whilst travelling through the airport

You will need to be physically fit and capable of handling baggage and manoeuvring wheelchairs to assist passengers when required

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to work to under pressure.
  • Able to follow and work on operational procedures as well as maintain consistent service standards.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and positive attitude.
  • Confident dealing with difficult customers whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner
  • Flexible with the working hours (as these can be subject to change)
  • Providing a full 5-year history of employment, education & including any gaps of unemployment
  • Clean criminal record

All successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and provide 5 years referencing history.
