Packing Operative

Location: Rye Harbour, East Sussex
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Public Transport Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm
Contract: Temporary with genuine opportunity to become permanent

We're looking for reliable, enthusiastic people to join a friendly and growing premium chocolate company based in a lovely, modern facility in Rye Harbour.
This isn't your typical heavy warehouse role. Initially, you'll be working mainly within the Packing department, helping to prepare and pack premium chocolate products ready for customers.
It's hands-on, fast-paced work, and you'll be on your feet throughout the day, working alongside a welcoming and supportive team.
What will you actually be doing?
Your day could include:
- Preparing packaging ready for chocolate products
- Applying labels to packaging by hand
- Filling product tubes and containers by hand
- Packing finished products carefully and accurately
- Checking packaging and products for quality
- Preparing finished products ready for the next stage
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised
- Following instructions and working to daily targets
- Helping out in other areas of the operation when required
You'll receive full training, so previous warehouse or packing experience isn't essential.

If you drive or have your own transport, you'll work 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Don't drive? That's absolutely fine. The site can be reached using public transport, and the company can accommodate an 8:30am-4:30pm shift for people relying on the local bus service.
