My client is a dynamic and ambitious manufacturing company that supplies fertilisers and other related products to the amenity turf market

The key to the Company's success within this fast-moving environment is the outstanding technical expertise within the sales and production teams which is coupled with a high level of customer service.

Central to the business is our Operations facility - equipped to prepare, manufacture, pack, warehouse, purchase & dispatch our full range of products - & tightly manage the full supply chain

The operations Support plays a central role in holding the team together through information, administration, liaison, & practical involvement.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager & seated in the Production Office - the Operations Support will handle the flow of information between Production, Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, & general business activities. Two key areas - The design, translation, & approval of product labels in close partnership with Sales Account Managers as well as through direct customer contact. Also - A service to production operations, with the processing of sales orders into factory planning information, culminating in administering the dispatch to customers. This as well as operating the label printing function to supply the factory. The role includes the processing & reporting of data as well as problem solving & communicating with people outside & throughout the business.

The position is full-time office-based, as it is aligned with factory operations remote working is impractical.

Ability to organise around a variety of tasks & liaise directly with others both internal & external

Strong IT capability with ERP systems, Excel, Word, Outlook, internet, phone etc

Numerate, literate, able to adapt to technical language & terminology

Job Description

Liaise between Sales, customers, Production, Purchasing, & Customer Service - coordinate information.

Design new product labels to customer & Sales requirements. Translate as needed, lookup MSDS information, clarify terminology, & obtain customer & Sales approval

Create Works Orders using ERP system to match sales orders.

Identify label creation & printing requirements. Print product labels to meet production plan.

Create dispatch documentation using ERP system, liaise with warehouse & customers

Sort Works Order details to prepare first draft production plans

Prepare report of Sales Orders, Works Orders, planned demand

Maintain/order stocks of print consumables & other office needs

Ad-hoc sourcing/ordering of general items as requested

General office correspondence, enquiries, post, & administration

Occasional holiday cover for other aspects of administrationThe role may vary in time according to business needs.
