The post holder will lead the Clinical Site Management Team, manage the discharge lounge, and in partnership with Joint Head of HIDs ensure the development of an effective Hospital Integrated Discharge Service.
The post holder will responsible for the effective and efficient management of capacity and will be the key contact for operational issues throughout the Trust.
This role will be based 1 - Southend Hospital and 1 - Basildon Hospital
The Site Management Team will provide on-site cover 24 hours a day, seven days per week, supporting staff to successfully achieve all capacity related performance and quality standards. - demonstrate highly evolved management and leadership skills and possess the operational experience necessary to resolve capacity related pressures.
As the lead of the Clinical Site Management Team, the post holder will be responsible for site management services, including the effective management of inpatient capacity.
The Clinical Site Management Team will provide on-site cover 24 hours a day, seven days per week, to successfully achieve capacity-related performance and quality targets, therefor the post holder is integral to the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality admission, transfer and discharge services for patients and their carers

Good understanding of drivers and constraints around effective bed management. Demonstrable and considerable experience of undertaking a clinical lead role. Evidence of the understanding of the NHS Plan, REC, commissioning and associated targets and milestones Significant experience of data analysis and audit processes. Experience with business continuity planning and emergency planning and resilience standards. Demonstrable experience of effective leadership, role modelling and effective line management. |
