Job Title: Mobile Repair Technician
Location: Mobile role (initial training in West Bromwich, covering sites all over the UK)
Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:30, Friday 07:30-13:00
Starting Rate: £12.21/hr, rising with training and skill progression up to £14.32/hr

About the Role

We are seeking a practical, reliable Mobile Repair Technician to join our team. This hands-on role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining equipment at multiple sites across the UK. It's ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, travelling regularly, and delivering high-quality workmanship.

You will be covering sites all over the UK, typically staying away from home around 4 nights per week. Expenses are paid, and a £25/day food allowance is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair equipment to ensure safety, functionality, and presentation
  • Record completed work accurately using digital systems
  • Communicate progress and any issues to your line manager
  • Travel between sites and manage your own workload
  • Maintain a safe, organised work environment and take care of company equipment
  • Handle large and heavy cages safely, requiring good physical fitness

Pay & Training Progression

First 3 months - West Bromwich (probationary training):

  • £12.21/hr - starting rate
  • £12.48/hr - after Module 1 completion
  • £12.83/hr - after Module 2 completion

Next 3 months - Variable locations:

  • £14.00/hr - while shadowing current Mobile Repairers
  • £14.32/hr - once able to complete site visits independently

Pay increases are linked to training milestones and skill progression, supporting your development as you gain experience.

  • Confident using basic digital systems
  • Physically fit to handle large and heavy cages safely

Essential Requirements

  • Aged 23+ (for insurance purposes)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must meet company vehicle insurance criteria (no previous insurance refusal, no driving bans in the last 5 years; fewer points preferred)
  • Experience in a practical repair or maintenance role
  • Comfortable working independently in a mobile position
  • Basic IT skills and good communication
  • Strong health & safety awareness
