The Role:
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Market Analyst / Researcher to enhance our client's business development efforts by identifying and monitoring public and commercial tenders. You will analyse previous awards to provide valuable insights on future opportunities while managing tender processes and nurturing strategic relationships.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Market Intelligence Management: Monitor procurement portals and develop networks to gather crucial market intelligence.
  • Strategic Insights: Provide actionable insights that inform our client's approach to tender opportunities, considering broader market dynamics.
  • Tender Coordination: Oversee tender submissions and maintain a historical database to streamline future efforts.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to compile comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across teams to share findings and coordinate effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key contacts, attending external events to enhance market understanding.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in spreadsheets (Excel, Power Bi), databases (SQL), and programming languages (R, Python).
  • Strong networking and intelligence-gathering skills across various media channels.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities within the organisation.
  • A confident professional demeanour when engaging with external stakeholders.

Desirable Attributes (not essential):

  • Familiarity with commercial databases like DCI/TED/DASA/Sam.com.
  • Knowledge of the public tender process and experience in bid writing.
  • Good investigative skills along with project management experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or qualified experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement, sales, or market analysis is preferred.
