Job Description

Position: Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Biased)

Location: Manchester

Hours: 4 on 4 off

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

The successful candidate will provide engineering technical support to the site manufacturing operation, delivering optimum plant reliability and performance through effective preventative maintenance, on aspects of the equipment and plant on site.

You may also be required to assist in installing and upgrading new and existing equipment and services.

Main responsibilities:

Responsible for performing preventative and reactive maintenance on all equipment and plants on site. (This plant is predominantly foundry/manufacturing based, although you may at times be required to work on the chemical part of the site).

Carry out preventative maintenance and routine scheduling servicing by manufacturer recommendations.

Deal with equipment breakdowns and effect repairs to ensure minimum downtime.

Troubleshoot and fault find any machine defects and carry out repairs as necessary.

Fault finding on control system and PLC-based system.

Skills and Experience

Engineering qualification (ONC / HNC)

17th/18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
