Production Operator (Grinder)

£22k - £27k+ shift allowance 6.67% bonus 6 % of salary and excellent benefits
The weekday shifts patterns are the 3 x 8hr rotating weekly 2200-0600, 0600-1400 and 1400-2200.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator to work with our client in Castle Cary and will involve responsibility for operating the grinder specifically.
The Production Operator will be a multi-skilled process associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our Grinder process whilst ensuring our highest Safety and Quality standards are maintained. The Production Operator will also play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects within the processing areas.
Production Operator key duties:
As the Production Operator you will maintain excellent grinder efficiency in line with the set plan and escalate any deviation from standard or plan
Support peers in achieving highest Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards throughout the processing area
Be responsible for the achievement of GMP/GHP process score
Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard
Actively participate in Operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance
Ensure Critical Control Points and mandatory Quality checks are completed as required and deviations are escalated through FMOS using the appropriate channel
Identify and deliver continuous improvement ideas to support fulfilment of the site goals & strategy
The job holder will comply with all Safety and Quality standards
The job holder will be a flexible member of the team that does what is required to ensure maximum efficiency and output of the line whilst adhering to our Quality & Safety procedures
The job holder will be required to have a broad understanding of the area operation and how it interfaces with different parts of the plant
Production Operative Key skills/experience required:
Educated to GCSE level
Excellent Written and Spoken English
Experience in FMCG Manufacturing environment
Flexibility, Team Player and Great Communication Skills
Functional / Technical Skills
