HRGO Recruitment is recruiting for a mill operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Holywell.
This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, supporting the safe and efficient operation of production machinery used in the manufacture and processing of insulated panels and building materials.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor mill machinery and associated production equipment.
Assist with machine set-up, adjustments and changeovers to meet production requirements.
Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality specifications.
Carry out routine quality checks, identifying and reporting defects or production issues.
Ensure materials are fed, processed and handled safely and efficiently.
Monitor equipment performance and report machinery faults or breakdowns.
Work towards daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Support basic machinery maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping duties.
Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
Experience operating machinery, ideally within a mill, roll-forming, steel processing or similar environment.
Good mechanical awareness and basic machine-setting experience would be advantageous.
Ability to follow production instructions and maintain quality standards.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to health and safety.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
