We are looking for a Logistics Team Leader for our client based in Dover. The role will be to support and direct a team of logistics specialists managing time-critical movements within Europe. Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at all times to deliver continued client satisfaction. You must have proven ability within a transport environment and the ideal candidate will have good IT and communication skills and excellent geographical knowledge. As a Team Leader you will be self-motivated, with first class customer service skills and have the ability to plan and organise your workload.
Support, direct and advise your team to maintain the business' strategic plan
Transfer key knowledge to team members and assist with their progression within the business
Meet daily KPI targets to ensure operational excellence at all times
Monitor the TMS to ensure it is always up to date
Ensure there are accurate daily handovers between each shift
Continually communicate with department team leaders and support their team where required
Identify and report carrier non-conformances and implement staff training improvements
Ensure the business escalation process is being adhered to
Attend weekly team leader client/operations review meetings, producing a presentation on the team's weekly performance
Using the company's appraisal process, support the team twice yearly with objective setting to assist with staff performance management
Manage annual leave, absenteeism and weekly rotas to ensure suitable cover is available at all times
Support with the weekend on-call rota
This is a permanent role, Monday - Friday, with a 9-hour rotational shift pattern.
