We are looking for a Logistics Team Leader for our client based in Dover. The role will be to support and direct a team of logistics specialists managing time-critical movements within Europe. Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at all times to deliver continued client satisfaction. You must have proven ability within a transport environment and the ideal candidate will have good IT and communication skills and excellent geographical knowledge. As a Team Leader you will be self-motivated, with first class customer service skills and have the ability to plan and organise your workload.

Duties Include

• Support, direct and advise your team to maintain the business' strategic plan

• Transfer key knowledge to team members and assist with their progression within the business

• Meet daily KPI targets to ensure operational excellence at all times

• Monitor the TMS to ensure it is always up to date

• Ensure there are accurate daily handovers between each shift

• Continually communicate with department team leaders and support their team where required

• Identify and report carrier non-conformances and implement staff training improvements

• Ensure the business escalation process is being adhered to

• Attend weekly team leader client/operations review meetings, producing a presentation on the team's weekly performance

• Using the company's appraisal process, support the team twice yearly with objective setting to assist with staff performance management

• Manage annual leave, absenteeism and weekly rotas to ensure suitable cover is available at all times

• Support with the weekend on-call rota

This is a permanent role, Monday - Friday, with a 9-hour rotational shift pattern.
