We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join a busy operations team and play a key role in the coordination, administration and movement of international shipments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced logistics, freight forwarding, transport or operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys coordinating multiple moving parts to ensure shipments are delivered efficiently and on time.

You'll be working within a collaborative operational environment, building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and logistics partners while taking ownership of shipments and resolving any issues that arise along the way.

About the Role

As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll be responsible for supporting the end-to-end movement of freight, ensuring shipments are booked, documented, tracked and progressed efficiently.

The role will involve international logistics coordination, shipment planning, customer communication, transport coordination and operational administration, with a strong focus on accuracy, service delivery and meeting time-critical deadlines.

You'll liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including customers, carriers, transport providers, overseas partners, customs contacts and suppliers, ensuring everyone has the information they need to keep shipments moving.

This is a varied role where priorities can change quickly, so the ability to multitask, problem-solve and remain calm under pressure is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the end-to-end movement of shipments from booking through to final delivery

  • Managing bookings, collections, deliveries and transport requirements

  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, carriers, transport providers and international partners

  • Preparing, checking and maintaining shipping, export and logistics documentation

  • Monitoring shipment progress and proactively managing any delays or issues

  • Providing customers with accurate and timely shipment updates

  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure operational requirements are met

  • Managing multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously

  • Ensuring freight is correctly prepared and ready for collection or onward movement

  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems

  • Supporting the smooth flow of international freight and logistics operations

  • Resolving queries and operational issues in a professional and solution-focused manner

  • Working to strict deadlines and ensuring time-critical shipments are progressed efficiently

  • Providing a consistently high level of customer service and operational support

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and logistics partners

  • Identifying potential issues before they become problems and taking proactive action

About You

We're looking for a highly organised, proactive and commercially aware logistics professional who enjoys working in a busy operational environment.

You'll ideally have experience within one or more of the following areas:

  • Logistics coordination

  • Freight forwarding

  • Air freight / air export

  • Shipping / export operations

  • Transport coordination

  • International logistics

  • Supply chain administration

  • Import / export operations

  • Freight administration

  • Operations coordination

You'll also have:

  • Previous experience in a logistics, freight, transport, shipping or operations environment

  • Strong coordination and organisational skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A customer-focused approach

  • Confidence communicating with customers and external stakeholders

  • The ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • The ability to work effectively to tight deadlines

  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset

  • Good IT and administrative skills

  • The ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team

  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within logistics and international freight

Desirable Experience

Experience or knowledge of the following would be advantageous:

  • Air freight / air export

  • Freight forwarding

  • Import and export procedures

  • Shipping documentation

  • Air Waybills (HAWB / MAWB)

  • Customs procedures and declarations

  • CDS

  • Incoterms

  • Dangerous Goods

  • Aviation security

  • International transport

  • Multimodal freight

  • ERP / logistics management systems

However, Air Freight experience is not essential. We are also interested in speaking with candidates who have a strong background in logistics, transport, shipping, supply chain or operations coordination and are looking to develop their knowledge within international freight.
