Join our client, a specialist manufacturing business based in Newhaven, as a Compounder / Filling Line Operative. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join their production team, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
This is a hands-on role where you will support the production process, working with products and ingredients accurately and safely. The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and be able to follow processes and instructions carefully.
The role offers a 12-week temporary period with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance and suitability.
Support the day-to-day production and filling operations.
Accurately measure, handle and prepare products in line with set procedures.
Use weighing scales and production equipment accurately.
Follow production instructions and processes to ensure products meet the required standards.
Complete quality and data checks, ensuring information and measurements are accurate.
Support the filling line and wider production team as required.
Safely lift and move products and materials throughout the production process.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Work as part of a team to meet production requirements and maintain high standards of quality.
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse or similar hands-on environment is beneficial but not essential.
Good attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
Comfortable working with measurements and basic mathematics.
Physically fit and comfortable with lifting and moving products.
Able to follow processes, instructions and procedures accurately.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Must be comfortable working a fixed early or late shift.
Must be able to work 05:00am starts if applying for the early shift.
Must have safety-toe boots before starting.
Temporary to permanent opportunity after a successful 12-week period.
£13.45 per hour during the temporary period.
10% late-shift premium upon permanent employment.
Overtime paid at 1.5x after 37.5 hours.
Monday - Friday working pattern.
Fixed shifts - no rotating shifts.
Jumpsuit, safety goggles and high-visibility clothing provided.
