Working Hours: 7am til' 6pm, with 1-hours lunch break, Overtime available. 5 days per week.
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
HRGO are seeking an experience and hardworking Line Leader to join a brilliant team in Chartham, running the packing line as smoothly as possible, while following compliance and Health & Safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position.
This role involves:
Organising and managing the processing and dispatching of orders, ensuring the proper preparation and smooth running of the line.
Supervising a team, supporting where necessary, and ensuring all hygiene and health and safety standards are adhered to.
Checking that goods in the wet area are the correct variety, grower and job number.
Collecting packaging and labels from the store, making sure these are checked by the QC.
Completion of paperwork, ordering additional goods and packing in a timely manner, in the event of a job increase.
Updating the status of the job, ensuring all information is provided.
Reporting to the packhouse manager once all orders are complete.
The ideal candidate will have:
Prior experience in a similar position is essential, and experience in the fruit packing sector is beneficial.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in leading others and training others.
A positive and hardworking attitude, and a willingness to see the work through to completion, being hands on a lot of the time.
The ability to work well under pressure, to tight deadlines, and take initiative.
A good understanding of safe and hygienic working practices.
