We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Landscaping Operative to join a large, busy grounds team working on various outdoor sites and projects South up to Essex at present. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in fencing, vegetation clearance and mowing, as well as the development of biodiversity‑enhancing spaces across multiple locations throughout the UK, and ideally hold a chainsaw ticket.
Key responsibilities - Carry out vegetation clearance, grass cutting, mowing, strimming and hedge maintenance - Install and repair fencing and associated site works - Safe use and maintenance of hand and power tools, including chainsaws where qualified - Site preparation, tidying and removal of green waste - Work to site health and safety standards and use PPE - Work alongside a small team and independently as required -Use and maintain hand tools (e.g., shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools safely and efficiently. -Operate machinery such as tractors, telehandlers and roboflails
Required skills and experience - Practical fencing experience - Experience with veg clearance and mowing operations - Ideally hold a valid chainsaw ticket (preferred) - Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and physically fit - Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision - Valid driving licence. - Over 21 for company vehicle insurance. - CSCS green card or SMSTS supervisors card is required
