Position: Ink Technician

Location: Deeside

Hours: 24/7 Rotational Shift Pattern Days and Nights

Salary: £24,969 P/A inc Shift Premium

Due to continued growth and expansion my client is currently seeking an Ink Technician to join a busy manufacturing environment on a Permanent basis.

Within the role you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of ink production being made and maintained within a safe and controlled manner in line with required standards and operating procedures. You will be responsible for understanding the customer requirements for colour specification and ensuring that they are met to the highest possible standard.

Specific Tasks/Accountabitlites

• Operate in line with site health and safety, environmental and quality standards including BRC, ISO and A2 environmental

• Make and prepare inks for production to known data standards and anilox strengths

• Maintain clean and safe working environment

• Operate processes in line with lean manufacturing techniques including SMED and 5S principles

• Make full use of eXact spectro, IFS6 and IQC to reduce press downtime to a minimum

Skills/Qualifications and Attributes

• Fork Lift truck licence essential

• X-rite equipment trained

• Demonstrate knowledge of working with print colours and a good understanding of continuous improvement techniques eg; lean and 5S
