HRGO are seeking Trainee Customs Clerk to work for our client based on the outskirts in Hythe, in Lympne.
Due to hours and location, you must ideally have access to your own transport.
To be suitable for the role, you must have good analytical and excellent organisational skills. Excellent PC skills are essential and you must be able to work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries.
This role will suit candidates that have an interest within the Transport and Customs Clearance Industry.
Full training and support will be given for this role.
Duties will include:
Calculating Duty / Vat Cost for consignments.
Processing Import / Export declarations.
Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirements.
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and Customs procedures.
Hours are full time and shifts will be 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am, 4 on 4 off.
