We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful bakery manufacturer in Ramsgate who is looking for a Hygiene Operative's to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term stability, full training and the chance to become part of a friendly team producing high-quality baked goods.
Following a successful training period shifts will move to: Monday - Thursday 12:00pm - 10:00pm & Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
🚗 Due to the location and shift times, applicants must have their own transport and be able to drive, as public transport is limited during these hours.
⭐ The Role
As a Hygiene Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring the production facility remains clean, safe and fully compliant with food safety and hygiene standards.
Your work will help maintain the highest levels of cleanliness across the production environment, supporting the manufacture of quality products enjoyed by customers every day.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
✔ Clean and sanitise production machinery and equipment
✔ Follow scheduled cleaning plans and hygiene procedures
✔ Carry out routine inspections to maintain hygiene standards
✔ Dispose of waste safely and responsibly
✔ Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues
✔ Support food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
✔ Work closely with colleagues to maintain a clean and organised production environment
✔ Follow all company policies and procedures
👤 What We're Looking For
✅ Essential
✔ Previous experience in a hygiene, industrial cleaning or manufacturing environment
✔ Experience within food production or manufacturing is highly desirable
✔ Strong attention to detail
✔ Reliable, punctual and hardworking
✔ Able to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Physically fit and comfortable carrying out a hands-on role
✔ Good communication skills
✔ A commitment to maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards
