Term Time only, for a fabulous school near Yeovil

15 hours a week, £12 per hourplease see below for hours and shifts

General

• To collect/put away the ingredients purchased from the supermarket on a Monday/ Tuesday when working if needed

• To help with set-up of ingredients and utensils for lessons and clubs

Larder and cooking equipment

• keeping shelving clean

• returning equipment to larder - checking it is clean

• keeping ingredient containers clean, refilling and renewing labels - stock rotation

• putting away shopping when needed - stock rotation

• taking tea-towels and dish cloths to laundry - if not already done by ECH

• collecting tea-towels and dish cloths to laundry and returning them to larder cupboard shelves - if not already done by ECH

HE room kitchen

• wiping out fridges as necessary

• setting up ingredients and utensils for lessons as needed

• emptying ovens of baking trays from ovens to larder shelves

• weekly tidying/cleaning of kitchen cupboards, drawers and small utensil cupboard, in line with cupboard set up

• monthly cleaning of tops of cupboards and utensils stored there

• monthly cleaning of cooker splash backs

Lesson Aid

• aiding with prep school classes as support in large classes.

• Helping to set up for prep classes as needed, e.g. weighing out, traying up, demonstration prep

• Cleaning and checking of sinks and equipment after lessons ready for the next class

• Setting up of stations with tea towel, cloths and oven gloves, ensuring washing up liquid is topped up

• Setting up demonstrations, ingredients for lessons and prepping stations as needed.

Ad hoc

• helping with lesson prep if needed

• collecting of utensils to bring back to HE room from boarding common-rooms and sixth form centre

• cleaning and checking of aprons

• Checking batteries in scales

• Checking equipment is away tidy clean and dry

Hours : 15 per week TTO (34 weeks per annum).

Week A

Monday- 7.30am- 11.00am 2- 4.30pm 5 ½

Tuesday - 9am-1pm 4

Thursday- 7.30am- 1pm 5 ½

Week B

Monday- 7.30am- 11.00am 2- 4.30pm 5 ½

Tuesday - 9am-1pm 4

Friday- 9am-12pm 2-4.30pm 5 ½

Rate of Pay £12 per hour

Technician will need a food hygiene certificate - done online through Creative Learning Solutions.
