The job Hands-on fitting/assembly role in a busy manufacturing environment. Great opportunity for a trainee to learn, or an experienced fitter to step into a steady, long-term position. Practical transferable skills such as using hand tools or carpentry type skills would be great
Duties (day to day)
Fit and assemble GRP/fibreglass components to spec
Trim, cut and finish moulded parts (hand & power tools)
Drill, bond and fasten GRP panels/assemblies
Fit hinges, locks, handles and other hardware
Work from drawings/specs, complete quality checks, fix minor defects
Keep the work area safe, clean and organised; support production targets
What you'll need
Positive attitude, good attention to detail, reliable work ethic
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Own transport essential (site location)
Full UK driving licence required
Manufacturing/assembly experience helpful (not essential for trainees)
