Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30am - 3:30pm & Fridays, 7:30am - 3:00pm (37 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a hardworking and reliable Grass Cutter to join our client's team in Blandford Forum. This is a varied, hands-on role responsible for maintaining a range of outdoor spaces, facilities and buildings to a high standard.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring grounds and facilities remain safe, clean and well-presented, while also providing general maintenance and caretaker support when required.

General Duties:

  • Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and general grounds maintenance.
  • Maintain parks, gardens, sports areas, recreational spaces and outdoor facilities.
  • Plant and maintain trees, shrubs and flower beds.
  • Undertake litter picking and ensure outdoor areas remain clean, tidy and welcoming.
  • Assist with general maintenance and repairs across buildings, pathways, play areas and facilities.
  • Inspect, maintain and safely operate grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
  • Empty litter bins and carry out routine checks and upkeep of facilities.
  • Provide occasional caretaker support, including opening and securing buildings, setting up areas and completing basic cleaning duties.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or outdoor maintenance is desirable.
  • Ability to carry out physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
  • A flexible approach to work, including occasional weekend work when required.
  • A responsible attitude towards Health & Safety and the safe use of equipment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
