General Repairs Operative

Location:　Thanet, Kent

Hours:　Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 3.30pm & Friday 7.30am - 3.00pm

Pay:　£13.81 per hour

Contract:　Temporary until end July

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled General Repairs Operative to join our client's team in the Minor Works department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks across various sites. The role will involve travelling between different locations, so a Full UK driving licence is essential.

A valid 'Streetworks' qualification is preferred, either NRSWA or SWQR.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting general repairs and maintenance work as required

- Inspecting and identifying issues with buildings and facilities

- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and carpentry

- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner

- Liaising with colleagues and other departments to coordinate repair work

Requirements:

- Full UK driving licence

- Proven experience as a general repair's operative

- Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance tasks

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Preferable 'Streetworks' qualification.
