HRGO Recruitment are recruiting for a Gatehouse & Despatch Clerk to join a well-established logistics operation based in Sherburn in Elmet (LS25 6ES). Working within a busy and fast-paced environment, you will be the first point of contact for drivers, visitors and transport teams, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of vehicles and deliveries through the site.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet drivers arriving on site
  • Collect and verify driver and vehicle information
  • Liaise with Allocators to ensure drivers are processed efficiently
  • Communicate bay, dock and trailer information to drivers
  • Book drivers onto the Transporeon system
  • Complete goods in and goods out documentation
  • Maintain accurate booking logs and site records
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and emails from customers and clients
  • Provide remote gate access for drivers arriving on site
  • Welcome and direct visitors to the correct departments
  • Support the wider transport and warehouse operation
  • Escalate operational issues where required
  • Ensure front desk and gatehouse procedures are followed at all times

About You

  • Previous gatehouse, transport, logistics or administration experience is desirable
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Confident dealing with drivers, visitors and management teams
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes pressured environment
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Reliable and professional approach to work
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team

Location

Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds, LS25 6ES

Candidates must be able to reliably commute to site for the 14:00 - 22:00 shift.
