HRGO Recruitment is currently recruiting Food Production Operatives on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturer based near Bishop's Stortford.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking long-term employment with genuine permanent prospects. Due to the rural location of the site, own transport is essential.
The Role
As a Food Production Operative, you will be involved in the manufacturing, blending, weighing and packing of specialist spice products supplied to a range of food industry customers.
This role is hands-on and requires a high level of attention to detail when measuring ingredients and following production specifications.
Please note that this is a spice manufacturing environment. There is a strong smell of spices throughout the facility, and employees will spend time weighing and handling spices as part of their daily duties. Candidates must be comfortable working in an environment with strong food aromas and spice fragrances.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately weighing and measuring spices and ingredients to production recipes.
- Blending and preparing ingredients for production runs.
- Packing finished products to customer specifications.
- Operating food production machinery (full training provided).
- Labelling and preparing products for dispatch.
- Completing production paperwork and basic quality checks.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and housekeeping.
- Manual handling, including lifting and palletising finished goods.
- Working as part of a supportive production team to meet daily targets.
