Location: Herne Bay

Pay: £12.71 per hour,

Shifts: 07:00 - 19:00 (12-hour shifts)

Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off

We are currently recruiting Food Manufacturing Operatives to join a busy wet food department. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role following a successful temporary period, with full training and support provided from day one.

The Role

As a Food Manufacturing Operative, you will play an important role in the production of wet food products. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and accuracy at all times. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role within a busy and, at times, messy production environment.

Key Duties

    • Operating production machinery and equipment
    • Preparing and handling ingredients in line with batch specifications
    • Ensuring batch orders are followed accurately
    • Checking that all products are correctly labelled and packaged
    • Monitoring production lines to maintain quality standards
    • Carrying out cleaning and hygiene duties in line with food safety regulations
    • Completing quality checks and reporting any issues promptly
    • Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets

What We're Looking For

    • Strong attention to detail, ensuring batch accuracy and correct labelling
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
    • Comfortable working in a hands-on role involving wet and sticky products
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
    • Good understanding of health & safety and hygiene practices (training provided)
    • Previous manufacturing or food production experience is advantageous but not essential
