Financial Crime Prevention Team Office

Minimum 2 years CDD/AML experience in conducting AML monitoring activities for medium to large corporate and financial institutions.

To work closely and support the MLRO on ALL financial crime related matters

Overview and Skills

• AML related certification preferred

• Understanding of organisation structures and experience of the breadth of AML requirements for a range of corporate and FI entities both in the UK and overseas is ESSENTIAL

• Practical knowledge and experience of the following: JMLSG, ML Regs, POCA 2002, 4/5EUMLD, International Sanctions

• Proven experience in entity types such as Funds, SPV, Trusts, Foundations, Charities and LLPs

• Maintain current Financial Crime regulations and legislation, ensure changes reflet the banks policy and procedures

• Acting as SME and first line of defence functions on ALL financial crime areas (AML, CTF, ABC, Sanctions and Tax Evasion.

• Conducting Financial Crime Risk assessments and delivery of Compliance Monitoring Plan reviews

• Conducting Wholesale and retail periodic and trigger event reviews escalate to FCP Team.

• Assisting FCP Team managing and advising on Retail & Wholesale Banking CDD and financial crime related queries

• Preparation of weekly team Financial Crime Risk Committee Papers, take minutes and agreed actions at relevant Committees

• Department housekeeping - PEPs, Sanctions, Watchlist and more.

• Review and investigation of adverse media alters generated from the banks CDD systems and issue trigger events to the CDD Department

• Liaising with CDD analyst in charge on updates and content

• Supporting MLR and FCP Team Manager

• Support MLRO in collation of MI for MLRO Reports to Head Office
