About the role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a dynamic finance team and deliver high-quality commercial insight and financial support to business stakeholders. You will play a key role in driving business performance through robust financial analysis, planning, and effective partnership with operational leaders.
Key responsibilities
Act as the primary finance point of contact for assigned business units, providing clear, pragmatic financial guidance to support decision-making.
Prepare and present monthly management reports, highlighting key drivers, variances and recommendations to improve performance.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes, working closely with stakeholders to build realistic and stretch scenarios.
Deliver insightful financial analysis and modelling to support business cases, strategic projects and investment decisions.
Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy of financial results and timely reconciliations.
Challenge and influence commercial decisions through actionable financial insight and scenario analysis.
Drive development of KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance and support continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise cost, identify efficiencies and improve financial controls.
Coach and develop non-finance colleagues on financial literacy and best practice.
What we're looking for
Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent finance qualification with demonstrable experience in a business partnering or commercial finance role.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into clear, business-focused recommendations.
Excellent financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting skills.
Proven experience producing management reporting and explaining complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems/ERPs and BI tools.
Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management abilities.
Highly analytical with attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
