Factory Labourer

Precision engineering machine shop have a permanent job opportunity for a hardworking general labourer to support the manufacture of machined parts and generally assist in facilities upkeep such as sweeping and basic cleaning.

This role includes:

  • Ensuring machines have correct coolant levels (training given)
  • Tidying loose swarf off the shop floor and emptying swarf bins
  • Ensuring the general tidiness of factory
  • Moving pallets around the facility as required
  • Empty waste bins and cleaning washrooms.
  • Cleaning down CNC machine tools when required (training given)
  • Supporting stores with in / out
  • Helping with despatch/using basic hand tools to build basic packaging

You will need a full clean driving licence and you should be able to work overtime (including occasional weekends) where required. Previous experience in machine shop /factory environment would be an advantage as would a forklift licence.
