Senior Estimating Engineer / Production Engineer - Precision Engineering (Aerospace & Oil & Gas)
An established subcontract precision engineering business is looking for a Senior Estimating / Production Engineer. Reporting to the Director, you'll produce accurate, competitive quotations from RFQs, drawings and specifications, interpret complex GD&T, and source pricing for specialist/external processes (e.g. heat treatment, coatings, NDT). You'll also support smooth handover into production, advise on machining methods/tooling, and act as a key technical contact for aerospace and oil & gas customers - identifying value engineering and cost-reduction opportunities.
Essential: 5-10+ years' experience in subcontract machining, estimating and/or production engineering background, strong CNC knowledge (turning/milling/multi-axis), ERP/MRP and estimating software familiarity, and materials knowledge (e.g. Inconel, titanium, stainless, duplex).
