Location: Gainsborough

Pay: £15.50 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
  • Day Shift | Early Finish Every Friday

Engineering Warehouse Operative

HRGO Recruitment are recruiting Engineering Warehouse Operative on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Gainsborough for an experienced Engineering Warehouse Operative. This is an excellent Temp to Perm opportunity for someone with a background in a mechanical engineering warehouse or engineering stores environment who is looking to join a growing business offering long-term stability, excellent working hours and a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately from receipt through to picking, packing and dispatch.
  • Receive, inspect and book in engineering parts and materials.
  • Pick and issue components to support production requirements.
  • Prepare and dispatch customer orders safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and inventory control.
  • Load and unload deliveries safely.
  • Work closely with production, purchasing and logistics teams to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment in line with Health & Safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience within a mechanical engineering warehouse or engineering stores environment.
  • Experience processing customer orders from receipt through to picking and dispatch.
  • Strong IT literacy with experience using stock control or warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently using your own initiative, while also working effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive, reliable and positive approach to work.
