Location: Gainsborough

Pay: £15.50 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
  • Day Shift | Early Finish Every Friday

Spare Parts Expeditor

HRGO Recruitment are recruiting a Spare Parts Expeditor on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Gainsborough for an experienced Spare Parts Expeditor. This is an excellent Temp to Perm opportunity for someone with a background in a mechanical engineering, manufacturing, purchasing or engineering stores environment who is looking to join a growing business offering long-term stability, excellent working hours and a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and expedite outstanding spare parts and component orders.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and ensure orders arrive on time.
  • Chase outstanding orders and proactively identify potential delays.
  • Work closely with purchasing, engineering, production and warehouse teams to ensure parts are available when required.
  • Track orders from purchase through to delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, delivery dates and supplier information.
  • Prioritise urgent and critical parts to support production and customer requirements.
  • Resolve delivery issues, shortages and discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Communicate order updates clearly to internal departments.
  • Support the purchasing team with supplier enquiries and order management.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to ensuring parts are available when required.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within a mechanical engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, procurement, spare parts or engineering stores environment.
  • Experience dealing with suppliers and expediting orders.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong IT literacy with experience using computerised systems and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently using your own initiative, while also working effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, reliable and positive approach to work.
