Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Dartford/Bexleyheath area - Free on-site car parking

Salary Guide: £45,000 - £55,000 pa

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join this UK leading, long established supplier of temporary, heavy-duty electrical distribution and lighting equipment to the construction industry and other similar fields.

It is essential for candidates to have a strong background in electrical engineering and estimating.

This position would suit for example, an electrician that has moved away from working on the tools on construction sites and has moved onto a technical support environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical product support to various customers; new and existing, including electrical installers/electricians.
• Assessing and providing estimates for new sales enquiries.
• Generating quotes from new sales enquiries and upcoming electrical projects.
• Addressing any inquiries or concerns related to electrical products.
• Tendering for new electrical projects.
• Ensuring compliance with BSEN standards and ISO9001 quality system.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of electrical accessories, staying up to date with industry trends and advancements.
• Maintain a professional and courteous telephone manner when communicating with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey technical information and instructions clearly and concisely.

Requirements:

• Good working Knowledge of BS wiring regulations
• Strong knowledge of electrical components/ accessories, including their application and installation requirements.
• Good working knowledge MS Excel.
• Significant experience working with an ISO9001 quality system.

Essential Qualifications:

HND or degree in Electrical Engineering or City and Guilds 2396, 2391 or equivalent.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8.00am - 4.45pm - 40 hours. (45-minute Lunch)
