Electrical Maintenance Technician

HRGO recruitment are looking to employ an Electrical Maintenance Technician for their client based in Sunderland to start immediately. Working hours will be on a 3 shift pattern. The client is ideally looking for someone who are 70% Electrically biased but will consider 50/50. Main Duties will include:- Carrying out Planned and Preventative Maintenance Engineering - having the ability and aptitude to monitor, maintain and improve the program. Carry out Reactive Fault-Finding of breakdowns on bespoke machinery. Monitor spare parts and minimise their usage. Minimise machine downtime with drive towards Continuous Improvement. Prioritise work, reactive and planned and support Manufacturing. What we are looking for: An experienced Maintenance Technician with a good knowledge of maintaining manufacturing plant machinery with an electrical bias. Have a practical knowledge of pneumatics and plc-controlled equipment. Have knowledge of Problem-Solving methods and understand Error Proofing. You need a Mechanical or Electrical HNC, having served a formal apprenticeship or similar. Able to work on own initiative. Please note this vacancy is to cover long term sick leave with a view of becoming permanent.
