We're recruiting an Electrical Engineer for a temp-to-perm opportunity based in Folkestone. You'll install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment, working to industry regulations and safe working practices. Please note: this is a physically demanding role involving manual labour and working in varied environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment (wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers)
Complete routine inspections and electrical testing to identify faults and malfunctions
Diagnose issues and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
Work safely at all times, following relevant QHSE procedures and guidelines
Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, regulations and industry standards
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documents
Maintain accurate records, including maintenance and repair logs
Support apprentices and junior electricians when required
Essential Requirements:
Valid UK passport
Level 2 City & Guilds qualification
Proven experience in an Electrical Engineer or similar electrical fitting role
Valid ECS card (or equivalent certification)
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools and equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail, with effective communication and teamwork
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
A valid driving licence
